Last year, 60 companies participated in the Break Through Tech New York Winternship program, helping to inspire, educate, and train nearly 300 young women across New York City and beyond. We changed many lives and built a deeper bench of tech talent—in just three weeks. This year, we want to double our numbers. You can help get us there.
Why Does New York Need More Women in Tech?

By 2026, 3.5 million computing-related job openings are expected. At the current rate, only 17% of these jobs could be filled by US computing bachelor's degree recipients.

While the number of women attending college is at an all-time high, the percentage of those women who graduate with degrees in technology-related disciplines is less than 1%, compared with 6% of men.
